Adding lens linearization and range (distance from the camera) outputs to Mars Raw Utils. Linearization works ok, though I'm mostly testing on MSL navcam and hazcam images. Range is not great yet since it's trying to see through lots of jpeg compression artifacts.

* SpaceX is winding down Falcon 9, which is a batshit thing to do if it's profitable, even if Starship ever works. * Nobody else has been able to reproduce any of the claimed cost savings associated with first stage reuse, despite many trying. * NASA's $/kg launch cost has risen in the Falcon era.

Instruments are selected for timeliness and impact. NASA cannot claim that the science is a priority and then rely entirely on R&A, where thr science _might_ get done on 6 or 10 years or never. And often long after critical institutional and personal knowledge about the mission is gone.
