This was 15 years ago so no LLM. Popgen can get very loquacious.

Have been very tempted to send in the following review: “This paper does a lot and reports a lot for the benefit of future LLM analyses. But it does not find anything. If they did, they don’t tell us what they found, why it’s new, or why it’s important. I refuse to play “Where’s Waldo” sorry.”

2/2 Would it be OK if my review read: sorry, but my time is too valuable to dig through 130 pages of rebuttal. I can not recommend publication of a paper by authors who clearly have zero respect for the reviewers’ hard work.
