It would be really great if, instead of trying to make an alternative to Wikipedia, the people complaining about the representation issues actually got engaged with Wikipedia communities and what's actually being done on the ground, and uplift that work being done by thousands of women globally.

Yeah, and if you look at the letter from one of them, they can see value in Toksvig's project. But the structure of Wikipedia means that it takes *decades* to make changes. Which is fair enough, but going "well, it's solvable" is disingenuous. www.theguardian.com/books/2026/o...

There are several efforts within Wikipedia to try to address systemic biases and they are always keen to accept new volunteers to assist in their efforts.
