Speaking of Pōneke, because that's where I live, even when a third of people take public transport, a third cycle or walk and a third drive to commute, 90% of all transport spending is sprayed liberally on the car commuters. Commuter who, I feel I need to emphasise, ruin the fucking city.

Agreed. There's a reason kids are inside more than when Chris here and I were kids. Car blindness, which has turned our cities into buildings wedged between giant roads, on which giant tank-like cars are driven. And politicians, local and national, thinking cars can fucking vote. #nzpol
