Very little on the #WestrayBirding front today but the morning was livened up with a pod of Orca (the 27s with bull 34) seen taking a sea just off the beach near the house. Only my second Orca sighting of the year and one of two pods seen in Orkney waters today. Images are in order.

My sixth year #WestrayBirding and another species which had evaded me until this year whilst isles all around me scored annually - American Golden Plover. And after a moulting adult found by a friend in the summer, like the proverbial buses, along comes another.
