I give feedback that focuses on effort and strategies, like noticing when they keep trying or use a new way to solve a problem. I also remind them that mistakes help them learn and that they are improving over time. #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset

As a new teacher this year, I was unaware of how I could modify assessment. I’m not fine-tuning my assessments to better understand what all my students know using different abilities that the curriculum may not have them present.

A challenge I faced was creating a test that accommodated all of the students in my class. It was hard to give the support each student needed.
