@msabdeljabbar.bsky.socialFor Question 5, consider the feedback you provide to your students, whether written, oral, or otherwise. Be sure to share your content area and grade level, as your examples can help others! #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
Show PostFeedback isn't just about praise it's about the message it sends. Praise for "intelligence" can actually trigger a fixed mindset, making students play it safe to avoid failing. Effective feedback focuses on the process, reminding students they are in control.#TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
Show PostA5 #TeacherEd #growthmindset 7th math pre-algebra. I used to coach Hockey. I used the build-break-build method to improve my players. Tell them something they do well, say how they can improve, end on something good. Make sure they walk away feeling good about themselves. No negative perseveration
Show PostIf they attempt it on the board, I try to always say "I like the effort" or some praise for getting up and trying. For written feedback, it's usually more detailed with a good job for what they did right and then showing what would come after. #teachered #growthmindset
