I'm having a hard time reconciling how good people say the movie is and how misleading and truth erasing it seems to be when it comes to what EH did. Did we really need another challenge to reality and white wash this fraudulent person? And how good can a "documentary" be if it's misleading?

Other representations of her (the book "Bad Blood" in particular) make it clear that she knowingly and intentionally caused harm to other people. It's weird it's not explored at all, because "the ends justifies the means" is so clearly the driving ethos of Silicon Valley. It's not novel at all.

I posted & deleted thoughts on this last night that boiled down to, "she's only complicated if you're asking the wrong question" which is whether she's telling the truth or lying, because she does a secret third thing (believes it will be true eventually and every failure is in pursuit of success)
