Show PostI couldn't agree more. Some people want to live in a fairy tale and think that's 'hope'. For me, hope is in sharing information, in intellectual exchange at all levels, in discussions and daily conversations. Hope is finding people that are open to listening and potentially changing their minds.
Show PostAgree. The injunction “don’t be too negative” is often a form of denialism. Is appropriate action meant to spring from misapprehending reality? The injunction also grants unrealistic importance to false positivity & *good feelings* in motivating political action. A quietist impulse.
