I only realized I'd had an early asymptomatic infection years later. I deteriorated SO MUCH that first year, as much in one year as in the previous 20 years with ME/CFS combined. You couldn't get tested without symptoms in 2020. It's the only explanation for how quickly I went to always-severe ME.
