#TeacherEd #SafeSchools I make sure that I tell students that I am always there if they have a problem, so that they feel comfortable talking to me about problems they may be having. Additionally I have supportive posters and materials in my classroom.

A1 #TeacherEd #SafeSchools I keep my classroom safe and welcoming by celebrating every win, and making sure we have plenty of fun every day. I also team up closely with parents through regular, casual chats about real-world skills, creating a supportive safety net for our kids in and out of school.

A1 #TeacherEd #SafeSchools Engagement, camaraderie, and good rapport are essential not only inside the classroom, but in the community. If students are comfortable with and trust you, they will sometimes share things with you. It’s up to us to listen to, decipher, and report concerning information.

A1/Q1 - First, I go over rules and set up my class based on windows/door location. I make sure that all blinds, door coverings, keys, & class phone are available/operational as well as my keys at all times. I call security if there is a disruptive student or situation. #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
