This is ENRAGING. I have older kids now but even when they were little, I’m pretty sure they didn’t get one cold per month with each lasting an average of 14 days. We are normalizing the amount of sickness in kids. And it’s head-shaking to witness. @teachrprecarity.bsky.social

SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is anything but a common cold. Each infection can cause severe illness and even death in children at rates +++ higher than the common cold. It triggers long-covid (now the most common chronic illness in children) and other cobditions like diabetes. Not the common cold.

Infect kids, or making them sicker? I think there is a huge difference between those who need to be hospitalized (and sequenced) because the strain is more aggressive, and being infected. Just saying.
