The refusal to even put her in a male ward should really illustrate to cis people that even if sex was binary and immutable (which it is not), what GCs and other transphobes want is not about strictly adhering to one's assign sex at birth. It's about wanting trans people to die in isolation.

Once upon a time I saw a dude’s profile that basically said “I like doing things, here are some things I like doing” with some photos of him doing things. That sounded interesting so i met him, and he was pretty normal and asked questions about me and things I like. Eventually I married him.
