Just had the annual IEP review for my 16 yo w/pretty serious ADD & was struggling to keep the tears back as his teachers discussed his issues w/focus, perfectionism & turning things in—could’ve been me they were describing w/o changing a word—and then all they’re doing to help him *that I never got*

There’s just no analysis at all. Things are just happening. No causes outside personal decisions of individuals. Heroes and villains. No material incentives, no history, no trends or trajectories. Pure mystification and catharsis laced together with AI slop and performance.
