A new neighbor and I discussed this recently. We're both vets, and he flies the flag every day. I fly mine on patriotic observances and holidays. Cautiously, then w relief, we established we're both Democrats. It's a shame that the Republican party has so besmirched real patriotism.

That's exactly right we have to take it back and show them what patriotism really means. It's not just for shouting USA trying to drown someone out who's speaking truth.

We are vehemently anti-Trump and have a six foot banner on the front of our house: "When Injustice Becomes Law, Resistance Becomes Duty". We also fly the American flag because we refuse to concede it to MAGA.

I have had an American flag for 40 years now. I actually took it down for a while because of Trump. But it is back up. It is my country. It is your country. It is OUR FLAG.
