Greens promise R&D at 3% of GDP. NZ spends 1.54%. Last year the government scrapped the 2% target and cut the Marsden Fund by about 29%. Why it matters: in 1970 an hour of Kiwi work produced about what a Danish or Finnish hour did. By 2022 it was 40% less. Denmark and Finland spend 3%. #nzpol

“Unacceptable” is being very generous when you have a seriously sick child. My daughter’s cancer was treated elsewhere but any parent knows Starship is the gold standard &, in many cases, the last resort. We need a government who cares to fund our hospitals properly. Its NOT National #nzpol
