Me too on the discomfort. It's a faulty generalisation. Eg: "Both of my dogs bark at cats, so all dogs in the world bark at cats." Q's mother is National, therefore she is right leaning too? Maybe she is, but that argument gives her no credit to be able go formulate her own political views. #nzpol
