@martam21.bsky.socialWhich language teaching method is the best? Truth is, there’s no magic formula!!! What works for one group might freeze another. True learning happens when we blend the best tools: communicative games, visual support, and student interests to fit the learners in front of us. #CATBL26
Show PostKids can know all the grammar, vocabulary & pronunciation, but during a simple game like "Who Am I?", they freeze. Why? Because knowing rules isn't real interaction! Model questions (e.g., Am I...?) act as scaffolding to bridge this. THIS is true Communicative Approach! #CATBL26
Show PostI totally agree with you. Sometimes, we just focus on the mistakes and correct them. But if we don't do it in the right way, it can affect students' emotions and confidence. So, we need to take their feelings into account and help them feel more confident. #CATBL26
Show PostSo true! As you mentioned, connecting with students is key. When I adapt listening tasks with songs they actually listen to or games featuring their favorite characters, the atmosphere shifts. They feel valued and far more willing to interact naturally! #CATBL26
Show PostSo true! Providing good scaffolding is important, as it gives students a solid foundation on which to develop their language skills. Using different types of support can help students feel more confident when communicating and encourage them to gradually become more independent learners. #CATBL2026
