@superscijew.bsky.socialEverything you wanted to know about single-molecule epigenomics but were too afraid to ask! Wonderful to co-write (h/t ENORMOUS lift by @arnaudkr.bsky.social) this primer on our nascent field. Also, a 💯 example of wonderful colleagues building something *together*, not in competition =)
Show PostVery cool study from @rdaslab.bsky.social in @science.org demonstrating the ability of AIs to design novel RNA psuedoknots www.science.org/doi/10.1126/.... Was honored to be asked to write a commentary on it and the broader state of RNA structure prediction www.science.org/eprint/KFKMB...
Show PostIt was such a pleasure writing this with @incarnatolab.bsky.social! There has been so much exciting progress in probing the complexity of RNA folding in cells. Although we couldn't cover it all, we did our best to highlight several major emerging areas. I’m excited to see where the field goes next!
Show PostYou're probably already doing science advocacy — you just might not call it that. Our new commentary (www.nature.com/articles/s41...) makes the case that every scientist has a role, and that advocacy takes many forms. Find and embrace yours! @natcellbio.nature.com @vfarm15.bsky.social
Show PostI have a suggestion. I am not sure if I think it is a good idea or not, but here goes... Publishing a AI slop paper or even just a truly crap paper not only doesn't count in your favor, but results in a penalty of some sort. Goal: Judging people on their signal to noise ratio.
