Yesterday we spent a lovely afternoon at Lee Vining Creek. Ryan fished with the dog and and Z and I painted. Here is the photo and my painting. I’m getting better at getting the vibe of the rocks instead of pushing for all the details.

Since a sizable chunk of people I follow are around Convict Lake, I feel like I have to post a photo too. This was not on a lovely fall day, it was from a bitter cold beautiful March morning - around 10F/-12C. I think Mother Nature made it extra cold because I had a Canadian with me. 🤣

I found them @xenolith.bsky.social ! The second photo was a couple of hours after the first (and a few miles away). It was such an incredibly beautiful morning and part of an epic road trip.
