I don't actually even mind it all that much but it would definately work better for Red if the cybernetics they had were more useful. There doesn't really feel like there's much sacrifice to not becoming a cyborg in Red/2020.

I don't think it comments on ADHD meds but I bet it would work the same way. It's just like "Okay so this promethean technology is fine, but the next one! Oh man!"

Like you can transition by taking estrogen, getting laser and electro and (presumably having FFS and getting a boob job) and that's fine, it'll raise your humanity, but god help you if you try to do it with cybernetics that also raise your performance as a bi-product.

Like cyberpunk 2077/red is in this very awkward position where because they're lib ass games (more red than 2077) every new method of humans recreating themselves as they desire to be is fine, but cybernetics is evil.

With the news about Halo a few weeks back that marks two fairly major pieces of modern science fiction that have been functionally scrapped. Mass Effect had been dormant but it was one of the successes of 7th gen and it would have been good to see it come back.
