Matthew Ingalls is in fact named as one of the Defendants in Jane Doe's suit - not just as one of the rapists but as the instigator. He was expelled b/c campus PD did not buy his claims of being "sodomized" by Jane Doe, and even found substantial evidence that he tried to get others to lie for him.

This is why more women don't come forward, and why more rapists aren't jailed. Because mostly-male cops and prosecutors find it more believable that a 20-yr-old would want to have sex with a room full of fraternity brothers than accept she was raped. What ever happened to common fucking sense?

Here's one overarching fact that bothers me in this and every other case. Consent is temporary. A woman has the right to consent AND to revoke consent. The prosecutor wasn't there and has no way of knowing the facts of consent. That alone should be cause for removal.

I tend to say, generalizing, that if I'm not having fun by p. 30 I'll give up on a book. OTOH I've been known to set books down after the third paragraph. The idea of reading a book I don't like all the way to the end repulses me. *dusts off hands*
