I have never been able to figure out how Republicans have convinced such a huge part of the country that they are the fiscally responsible party. I have watched the Republicans wreck the economy and the Democrats repair it my entire life.

The US economy is about 12 times larger than the Russian economy and per capita output is six times larger. CA, NY and TX surpass Russian output. It's a minor economic country. But Trump only wants to match the scale of theft and dictatorial, oligarchic rule of Putin, the people be damned.
