I saw a social media post today where someone was pointing out how the left is fine without interacting with the right, but the right keeps needing the left. Anything the right makes for the right flops (social media, TV shows, whatever). I found it an interesting point.

When he's not "playing" with Astarion I think he basically doesn't think of him at all, any more than I think of my knitting needles or spinning wheel when I'm not using them. I like them, I use them, but I'd replace them in a heartbeat if I got something better. That's how Cazador views his spawn

Yeah Cazador imo doesn't directly control them much, he's got other priorities (preparing for ascension). I think part of this is people conflating how important Cazador is to Astarion with how important Astarion is to Cazador. Astarion is a favorite tool and toy for Cazador, but not his main focus
