I would not frame wish casting for money from Springfield as a positive in my voter guide for school board president because that $150 million is pretty unlikely to come and we’re probably getting mid year layoffs over it.

A real tension in local politics in a lot of Illinois is going to be that our choices are kinda locked in to either austerity or defaulting on pension obligations, the latter is illegal, which is why the cuts are going to come anyway if the $150 million doesn’t materialize.

Their external auditor is Deloitte, they do have independent scrutiny of their financial controls, probably quite a bit of it.
