went to the Syd Mead exhibit at the Transamerica building. seeing his work in person is actually unbelievable. he was truly a master of color and design. his technical abilities as an artist and his amazing taste will probably never be matched again. just a true titan. if you get the chance, go!

I think my favorite part of this is that LL's description of Clausewitzian theory isn't quite in line with what Clausewitz actually wrote, but in a way that makes it clear he's mixed what he read with his own understanding of life and politics in a really interesting way.
