    I felt some peace today - the first time in a long time. I walked down to our woods with my dog and stood under this tree. The sky was alive with migrating birds - Fieldfares, Redwings - hundreds of them. I stood and looked up and marvelled at life and thought of time passing and time passed.

    I carry the papers into the shop. There is a huge and heavy box that the shopkeeper tells me is full of Pokémon cards. The shopkeeper asks me what’s wrong with my eye. I tell her I’ve got a stye. The Woman From The Care Home comes in and asks if the cash machine is working. It is.
