Everytime my symptoms or requests get dismissed by the medical profession, I think of my dad, who as father of two daughters, told me he wasn't a feminist because "women have enough rights now".
Post anzeigenI know a bunch of you do medicine, so before I get medicined: NO I did not get checked out by the EMTs or the hospital (but I made Dad do it) because I am a MILLENNIAL and know that healthcare is a luxury. YES I am tracking how I feel, noting symptoms and doing alternating warm and cold on my neck
Post anzeigenI get three things from those comments: 1) They think I’m sick because I just don’t take care of myself/it’s my fault; 2) They think they have the answer from 10 mins of listening to my symptoms that have eluded doctors and me for the last 10 years; 3. They’re not listening.
Post anzeigenI’m so tired, sleeping almost all the time. Along with some of the other symptoms I’m dealing with, it’s concerning. But the fatigue has worsened recently. Seeing my doctor in a couple weeks, wants to check my B12 & iron levels. Then a neurologist in December. I just want some damn solid answers😞
