I have called for the SoA to facilitate whistleblowing from staffers and authors alike, in the absence of voluntary transparency. I would also like publishers to explain why, if they believe GenAI use is either ethical and valuable, they aren't prepared to say how they're using it.

Part of learning to write is learning to edit and if we don’t model editing for our students, how will they learn? Why will they think it’s worth their time? Of course you can say that my colleague was able to do this because he trained Claude on his voice first. But someone else can do that too.
