Unpopular take: I went into a Buc-ee's today for the first time in 20 years. I came away thinking that it is the ultimate reflection of late-stage capitalism. I still can't get over the 1000' long row of (94) gas pumps. It's a Wal-Mart size convenience store. We used to be a proper society. Lol.

Maybe this only bothers me, but there's a sign in the store with the latitude and longitude, and it's off by 7.5 miles! With 2 decimal places, they should have gotten to within 0.34 miles of the actual location. You had one job!

Also, you use a negative sign in front of the longitude to indicate the Western Hemisphere. Having the "-" and the "W" is redundant. They would lose points for that on an exam.

I’ve been at the @ncar-ucar.bsky.social members’ meeting the last few days, hearing from interim UCAR President Eric Barron and others about how UCAR and NCAR are weathering the metaphorical hurricane of the last two years. I came away grateful that clear-eyed leaders are at the helm.
