Over 1 in 5 people in the UK live in a 'legal aid desert', with the most significant gaps being in housing, immigration, family and employment and crime. More and more legal aid providers have been forced to close across the country. Access to justice should be available for all.

Delighted (and hugely relieved) that Suffolk Law Centre is one of the beneficiaries of this life-line funding, but Law Centres and other organisations providing early legal assistance desperately need a sustainable, reliable, long-term income stream. With that, we could do so much more!

And the dead files were kept in the meat safe. I worked there as a student volunteer in 1972 - the real joys were the music shop next door blasting out reggae all day long, plus the cheap mangoes on the market stall. Peter was pure inspiration to work for.
