I was due to do a history walk entitled ‘Heroes, Villains and Fools’ but it ended up being a talk under a tree because of the heat. My favourite local character is Nicholas Barbon, once lord of Osterley Park. A pantomime villain but one with a complex legacy. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nichola...
Show PostIt was a good day. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, despite the heat, and the Mayor of Ealing danced round the maypole. (Photo by @ealingnews.bsky.social) A lot of work to organise though. If I never see another gazebo again it will be too soon!
Show PostThank you to Leslie from @ealingnews.bsky.social for covering our 50th Anniversary celebration. Great lead photo of Mayor Cllr Anthony Kelly and our Special Adviser @kaulofthewilduk.bsky.social unveiling the new commemorative sign, with the help of two giant bluebells. ealing.news/environment/...
