Anyone on here use genbank or NCBI to find or check gene sequences? I'm getting a "there was an error processing your query. Please try again" error message all day. Anyone have any info on what's going on? 🧪

serious question, is NCBI working properly for other ppl? I was able to use the BLAST server, but the genomes are not coming up when i click thru... Remember the before times, when you could just do your f*cking job without wondering if Big Balls fucked up the server again?

Anyone else having trouble accessing sequences in NCBI? It will tell me the right gene name but it says "there was an error in processing your query" and I can't access the actual sequences.

I just read pubmed in 2016 was 122.3 GB disk space (16.9 GB compressed). Seems like it could be easily backed up. I'll help or fund that. If you know how to get to the backend or know of some archives I'm all ears. Meanwhile I'll research it...
