If she said trans women should not be in mixed-sex wards, that would clearly ban them from some hospitals unless every hospital has single-sex wards available at all times.

I'm trying to help you figure out that she was, in fact, saying that trans people should not be allowed in hospitals. I used her words, and when you were reacting just to the words, instead of making a snap judgment, you were no longer so certain that this can't POSSIBLY be what those words mean.
