The term “interim docket” not only dramatically minimizes the very real (and often permanent) effects of #SCOTUS’s behavior, but it also whitewashes the disappearance of “irreparable harm” from the Court’s analysis—the very point that (supposedly) makes the request an “emergency” in the first place:
