The preliminary Niño 3.4 sea-surface temperature for October 13 just broke 30°C for the third time, and is now 3.3°C above the 1991-2020 baseline. This marks the 22nd consecutive daily temperature above the previous all-time record high of 29.815°C. set on Nov. 17, 2015.

We've live on the coast of Ecuador for 10 years.Ocean temps are so warm, sea birds are dying for lack of fish.The little fish they eat are diving deeper to find cooler temps.We counted 38 dead or dying blue-footed boobies on our beach walk.This is supposed to be our cool misty season.
