it was more of a lighthearted remark, john. but honestly, the more I look at the hand-drawn illustrations of our "ancestors" and compare them with the photographs – and videos! – we have today, with much better microscopes, the more my respect for their craftsmanship grows.

Just looked down at my illustration that I’ve been working on (on & off, it’s a long story) for two years…I’m mixing acrylic inks in a rotring Isograph pen and sometimes they sputter…big blue splodges but none on the illustration! today is my lucky day but what an idiotic clown I am! 🤡
