Sadly, people stopped donating to Democrats after smear campaigns against ActBlue took hold. (There’s not really another way to donate to democratic candidates. You may say “directly to the campaign,” but those go through ActBlue as well.)

There is much to admire in Abdul El-Sayed's response to the GOP plant in his audience. But one of the most deft things he did was to point out (twice) that our Constitution protects our right to follow *no* religion, thereby casting Christian nationalist Tommy as the actual religious extremist.

The “Tommy” shown in this viral video from Abdul El-Sayed is a former staffer for Sen. Josh Hawley and the son of a GOP strategist. For nearly five minutes, El-Sayed questioned the man about his understanding of the Constitution and the religious freedom it affords all Americans. Simply brilliant.
