Our Outlander PHEV makes a weird bonging noise when driving at low speed to alert pedestrians. It doesn't sound like a car and nobody is ever really alerted by the noise. I often see people looking around oblivious while I sneak up on them in a giant red SUV.

When they signalled this in the budget we @dpanz.bsky.social raised concern because of the dangerous & detrimental position this also puts disabled, queer, and young adults experiencing abuse in. Absolutely wild that young *adults* are now forced to be financially tied to parents at 18 & 19yo.

The lack of accessibility for our ferry service is even more baffling when you visit Sydney and find that all their ferries - even those that are decades old - are wheelchair accessible. Absolutely boggles the mind that a brand new one here is not.
