If I had known what a difference an N95 and air purifier could make in my overall health, I would have used them before Covid. A respirator keeps me from getting sicker. An air purifier reduces allergies, dust and MCAS symptoms. We should want these tools in public spaces.

It’s more than that, it’s more like my clothes accurately reflect how I feel, which has not always been true. I’ve had to forcefully remind myself that it’s okay to enjoy femme time, that it doesn’t make me a bad queer person to like sparkly tights and swishy skirts.

I was very surprised and very pleased when they got here that they don’t feel like a costume I put on for other people the way they did when I was little. They feel like me. That will probably change. It usually does. But for the time being, it’s nice to look down and actually enjoy my clothes.
