I don’t think individual blame is that productive either. My main beef is with the CEOs offloading the negative impact onto citizens and policymakers aiding in it. But I guess I don’t see how willingly using their infrastructure signals anything to them except “we’re making profit, keep fucking em”

There is nuance, in a sense, but AI hit programming fields like crack and I can't help but be less than enthusiastic when it's a tool so cool and so revolutionary and awesome... that people actively want to hide that they use it. and others explicitly want to replace human made work.
