Recently, I have been going to a lot of concerts, to the cinema, reading physical books, and listening to full albums from my CD collection at home. No Spotify, no Netflix, no AI. I have even started writing paper letters to my friends. Next on the agenda: getting an analog camera and photo albums.

my entire life trajectory was oriented towards "being good at things", I sacrificed quite a lot to get where I am today, and now society has deemed expertise not very valuable anymore and for what little remains, AI/people using AI will siphon it out of you the very moment they smell it in the air

it really does feel like they just got away with unprecedented amount of theft of expertise, and are now profiting off of it while replacing the professional opportunities for the very crafts and humans it trained on I never thought I would see the concept of expertise get so devalued
