Yeah, Id capped at 30fps. MOST source ports, go for accuracy of replication at the expense of speed. DOS doom was by far the slowest. It was a downport (meaning it was crippled to handle the platform) from a version running on high-end NeXT workstations.
Show PostThe reason for the 30fps cap was interlaced monitors had a 30hz output to the display, and many DOS computers were still running old 480 interlaced monitors. The choice was to either sacrifice quality and run in 240 Non-Interlaced, cap at 30 hz, or create an unfair advantage in multiplayer.
