I enjoyed this. The point that the far left is coalition of three quite different intellectual tendencies is incisive. What I might add is that the “ostrich tendency” comes from the fact that a lot of leftists feel like they should be socialists but aren’t. So they redefine the proletariat.

The saddest “do you denounce” going unasked is “do you denounce seditionists convicted beyond a reasonable doubt of violently attacking America?” For nearly every Republican, not only is the answer no, but their revealed preference is that the Jan. 6 attackers should be pardoned, even celebrated.
