Our new research article is now available! We examined the phenotypic characteristics of K. pneumoniae UTI isolates cultured in human urine vs LB. Despite diverse behaviors, these strains consistently cause pyelonephritis in a mouse UTI model. Full story here: journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/...

Check out our latest study into nutritional immunity by Yersinia led by postdoc Mahendar Kadari. Our investigations into the metallophore yersinopine revealed some surprising differences in zinc acquisition between Y. pestis and Y. pseudotuberculosis.
