Klebsiella pneumoniae is one of the most common causes of UTI, yet how it actually causes disease is still poorly defined. These clinical isolates varied widely in capsule, mucoidy, and serum resistance. Even so, all established pyelonephritis. I’m curious what conserved factor drives that ascent.
