Recommended by @mrnfhaines.bsky.social I really enjoyed this book. I know many EduCognitivists have made a carricature out of Freire, and I found none of that in here. He often talks about the authority of the teacher being important (but not authoritarianism). www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...

Great local story. Brought a lot of former students and supportive teachers to mind. For everyone who supervised students making posters for the hallway: you made a difference! #ITeachSocialStudies www.twincities.com/2026/05/10/f...

Prepping for the 2026 NC Social Studies Leaders’ Institute. Scopes Trial + disciplinary literacy = powerful entry point into teaching civic debate, science, and belief in a democracy. This is the work. #sschat #DisciplinaryLiteracy #ReligiousLiteracy #CivicEd #ScopesTrial100

New paper! When teachers are learning about what to do in the classroom, they are also implicitly learning about students. What do their teacher education methods courses tell them about their future pupils? www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/epdf/10....

Hi Nathan, I replied on LinkedIn, but this place is more fun. I think these categories represent the traditional dichotomy. In the past, maybe I would have agree with your choice of epistemology with pedagogy. However, now I see a third epistemology and corresponding pedagogy: enactivist.
