It's very late at night so I don't know if in the morning this statement will still make sense to me: I don't like being scared, I like feeling dread and I like the catharsis of that dread being proven right in an interesting way! It's probably because I'm a naturally very anxious person!

My knowledge of horror is mostly based on my being a film school kid, and especially because when I was in film school horror was the real hot topic! I definitely know more references than I've seen/remember actual movies 😅 the genre as it's broadly defined is super hit and miss for me.
