The EU as a whole are cautious and risk-averse, which leads to their projects getting mired in committees and delays. The incident with StarShield will hopefully motivate them to finish IRIS² sooner. U.S. tech are beholden to U.S. interests and—under a hostile regime—cannot be trusted.
