we really really need to confront and challenge those gays in the community who hold the “ew women” opinion. as the graphic designer for the all year round calendars i’m very proud of how inclusive we are of not only the big women but the big furs of all gender expressions.

I'm still getting over a lot of my old biases and weird hesitancies, and I don't love everything I see of course, but it's that chipping away at these things to being more open to new experiences that I value immensely and ppl who shut that down are infuriating to me.

idk just tired of this and similar mindsets. It's like in 2015-16 when I finally realized the mindset of the "enlightened skeptic"/"snarky critic" was just. making me an absolute dickbag, unpleasant person and ever since I've tried so hard to be a more positive, constructively critical person.

even if it's obnoxious, someone going "what do you mean you haven't seen [thing]??" ultimately wants to have an experience to share and find commonality with you. They can word it better, sure, but answering back shit like "oh bc it's BAD" or some other bullshit is just being a dick for no reason.

it's this inflated, twisted sense of individual isolationism where you're PROUD to go "against the mainstream" when like. Okay. But what does that get you? Ppl asking why, and then you give them a jerk answer, so they treat you like a jerk. Congrats, you... won the social interaction, I guess...?
